Hi!
Welcome to a new school year!
My name is Ms. Giacalone, and I am excited to start my fourth year at RMHS!
I come from a family of teachers; my dad and sister are both science teachers and I have a couple of aunts who teach. So, teaching has always been a dream and a passion of mine. However, it wasn't until I reached my senior year of high school that I knew I wanted to study and pursue a life teaching math. It's also proved to not be an easy thing to explain to my friends or extended family. I got a lot of "Math? Teaching...? But...why?" It really has been a dream come true to teach on a daily basis, and I hope that I make my classroom a warm, welcoming, engaging, and enriching experience for every student that walks through my door. I expect a lot from my students, but only because I know how much talent they have. Especially in math, even if they don't think so.
So, welcome! I hope we have a fantastic year together.
